Up until recently my AIM has been running fine..but recently a really annoying problem has been happening. Every time I send an IM the entire program freezes, sometimes causing the “not responding” message to appear if I keep clicking it..about five seconds later it unfreezes and the message sends. My internet connection is stable and I use a wired cable modem. Currently I am using version 5.2.3292..i’ve tried the newest versions and nothing better has happened. I have also tried Trillian, DeadAim and Aimutation, and the same problem persists. Any help would be very much appreciated.
You have DeadAIM and AIMutation installed at the same time? It could be that both plug-in’s are subclassing the IM window, and that can cause major problems. Try uninstalled DeadAIM or AIMutation and only use one plugin at a time.
Nope, they were installed seperately. I tried DeadAim, froze, uninstalled. Tried regular aim, same problem. Tried Aimutation, same problem. Each try I totally uninstalled AIM before reinstalling and putting on the program. Also, like I said the same problem happens with Trillian, so I don’t know if the problem is with the instant messangers or my computer.
