First question: Do you like Metallica?
And second, how much do you think that Metallica’s music has changed through the years? I believe that comparing their music of the early 90’s and their music today, there are big differences. Now they seemd to be more like nu metal, and thats bad because they used to be a pure hard rock band thats become softer and softer. No one can undestimate their talent and music knowledge, but I think their fans are a bit disappointed right now. As I am too. I think a successfull band mustn’t change their style, at least not to such a dramatic point! Of course there are new waves now, but, I see that Metallica are out of ideas now and they wanna follow that wave. What do u think?
I’m not very familliar with Metallica… but one of my friends let me listen to them on the bus a few days ago… it was pretty good. I’m not sure if the cd was new or old… it had what looked like lightning on the cd though.
I can’t listen to the old stuff because the quality, as in studio quality is so poor! The drums sound so bad, and there is no power at all…I mean if they reproduced those songs, they would sound amazing.
As for St. Anger, I don’t know what they were thinking…it is a terrible album for metallica….Load and reload are under rated in my opinion too because there are some good sounds on there…I think the Metallica era is over!
I like Metallica. I listen to them. I got all their cd’s. St Anger sure was…different, but I can’t really complain, it still sounded good although not really what Metallica is all about. Their 90’s music is still the best. Some people think they’ve changed ever since they cut their hair short. heh.
