Mic help

I can use my webcam on msn but cannot get my mic to work. I was using a seperate mic but then bought a new webcam with a built in mic and i still can’t do a voice conversation with anybody.

yes a built in mic as far as i know mics are auto-maticlly detected try goint to tools and then audio tunning wizard p.s make sure in the chat u haven’t mutted urself
