had this problem for a few months now. Currently using yahoo messenger 5,6,0,1358 on windows XP pro using broadband connection.
after using voice chat for about 15-20 mins it then cuts off, with the error coming up ‘trouble communicating with the voice server’. The only way I can get around to making it work again is by logging off and going back on again about an hour later or more, but the same problem occurs again.
This error always happens in chat rooms, (any room). I have even tried to use another id, but the same thing happens.
i do use the sygate firewall, but this problem occurs even with the firewall off, the same with the xp firewall.
i didnt have this problem at all a few months back, I have even re-formatted my pc, but the same problem comes up.
I am not running y-yunnel, but I have tried it, when the error come up I tried to change the voice server but that didnt work either.
When I connect and the mic does work, the audio wizard will work fine, but when the error happens the mic will not pass the audio wizard test.
i also use onboard sound.
any ideas anyone?
That happens to me sometimes as well. I think it’s exactly as the message says; “‘trouble communicating with the voice server”. It’s not you, it’s Yahoo!. Just a guess, but I think it’s most likely.
Yeah, I have been thinking that it is yahoo is well, but this happens to me everytime I am online, woundn’t mind as much if it only happened now and again, if you or anyone has any further ideas, then please let me know..

This is just Yahell being it’s normal self. I get this too and everyone I know get some kind of voice server error at some point in the day. I would suspect it’s probably just because of the huge amount of users on their voice servers.
