Hi all,
not sure if y’all can tell me on here or not. I go to a chat room on yahoo and we all play music. I use the direct feed rather than my mic to play the music but hands free doesn’t always stay pressed. Does anyone know where I can get a tool that locks the mic open while I am playing my music but I can turn off when my tunes are done? The reason I don’t wanna have to sit and hold the mic button is so I can type to my friends as the music plays.
Thanks for any help and I understand if you can’t link to sites they would have them for other reasons.
IceIce, the best thing to do is go to “google” and search for “mic locker”. Some of the newer ones have been patched due to the 30 second mic lock rule put on my yahoo, but a simple but working one is called “super mic lock”. Maybe do a search for that.

Heya Ice:) I know of SEVERAL different sites where you can get a mic lock but unfortunately I don’t think they(bigblueball) will allow me to post the link due to other content on the site(s)…I personally play alot of music in yahoo chat and have used several different mic locks…with which im able to continue to chat while the music is playing…I would be more than glad to either email you the sites, give you the names of a few different locks, or just send you a few in your email…I’m fairly new to bigblueball so I really dont know if thats accpeted either..lol..but my email and yahoo info is on my bigblueball profile so either post me a reply or get up with me through there and I’ll get ya hooked up;) ..and if this is not acceptable in this forum..so sorry…again, I’m new….take care…~Kitty
I’m having the same problem. I tried the mic lock that comes with YtunnelPro and people say my music still cuts out and comes back on all the time. I heard about something called mic loc pro but I don’t know where to get it. What is direct feed and how do you do it?
This is an old mic lock i called irish i done a long time ago.
you can try it and see if it still works.
as i dont use Yahoo! Messenger for chat i dont know if it still works but it should.
it’s probally one of the smallest out there but it done whati wanted it to do when i made it.
it uses cursor axis position to find button class of talk button and asks you to lock yes or no (it will also alert on any other button class it recognizes).
if it finds the wrong button before u hover your mouse over the talk button just press reset.
any questions about it let me know. (knacker is a slang irish word..b4 u ask)
