I am looking into getting some certifications in Microsoft. I was looking at various ones. I just went to an information meeting at a “school” that wanted to charge $25,000 to get me ready to test in 6-10 months. After talking to a few people, I have learned that it is WAY too expensive. Does anyone know where I might find the information that would help me learn anything I might not already know about the tests and to increase my possibilities of passing? Any information sincere would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Dear Oreo,
First of all, if you want to learn and pass the test without going broke is by buying books ($40+) on the MS Cert topic that you want. Then buy the simulation tests package from Transcender or its study guides ($200+). They all provides good quality information as well as let you feel what exactly going to be like in a real exam. (The test questions are different of course) but the way you take the test is the same.
Thank you so much for the information! I will definitely look into that! Much more affordable too! 🙂 Thanks again!
There are a ton of free webcasts from Microsoft, and some of them directly relate to certification topics. Check out http://www.msreadiness.com/webcast/webcasts.asp
You’re welcome Oreo =)
Good luck on your studies and tests, let me know the results okay? 😉
P.S: Take it slow, don’t try to rush through the study guides, hands-on and try to memorize as much as possible…that’s my advice =P
Have you compared the AppDev certification training CD-ROMs with Transcender? You can also find them on eBay, but be careful not to get old ones.
I will have to look into that…thanks for the head’s up! 🙂
