My new best time for expert is 173
July 14, 2003 at 12:48 pm #64345golfnuttMember173 is pretty good. I was stuck at 170 for what seemed to be forever. However, if you can score 173 you can score close to 160 if you get the right game. Did you know if you click on a number with both mouse buttons at the same time, it will automatically remove any spaces that that number determines. So if you have a mine marked and you uncover a 1 next to it. Clicking on the 1 space will uncover all spaces around the 1 space not marked.
July 15, 2003 at 7:06 pm #64365Dude189ceMemberhey mine are

tell your friends you got 1 sec in expertJuly 15, 2003 at 7:16 pm #64344golfnuttMemberThe best scores can also be stored in the registry. Depends on your operating system. What’s the point of entering a time like that? I’ll keep puttin my best scores in the correct way, by actually playing the game.
July 15, 2003 at 7:33 pm #64364Dude189ceMemberi don’t alter my times, but i think its neat that i could
another way to get lower time is this:
when you need time to think and consider your next move, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN to copy an image of the field to the clipboard. minimize minesweeper to pause it, paste the image in paint, and plan it in there
i don’t consider this cheating, but some mightJuly 15, 2003 at 7:38 pm #64363Dude189ceMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by golfnuttif you click on a number with both mouse buttons at the same time, it will automatically remove any spaces that that number determines. If you have a mouse with a wheel button, you could use that instead. I only use my right button and my wheel button to avoid acidentaly blowing up a mine i meant to flag. Also, shift-left click does the same.
July 15, 2003 at 7:40 pm #64343golfnuttMemberThat’s cheating if you ask me. You basically stopping the clock. If you want to do that, simply start a new game and when it’s going, hold down both mousebuttons until the little smiley face mouth turns into an O. Once it does, hit the escape key. To restart the time, minimize minesweeper and then restore it.
July 15, 2003 at 7:49 pm #64362Dude189ceMemberyeah but the way i do it, you have to unpause it b4 you can mark or click anything. its different b/c it just gives you time to consider your best move, not play without the clock moving

Please don’t post things like that. It’s not needed, pointless, and there is no reason for it.
