January 5, 2004 at 3:43 am #86582magistykMemberFor IRC scripting I would have to say MiRC.
January 6, 2004 at 2:21 am #86583Zlink123MemberI’d second that, five times over. mIRC is the ultimate in IRC scripting if you ask me. Simple and quick to learn, yet incredibly versatile.

I haven’t used Klient. I’ve used mIRC but I can’t really compare to something I haven’t used before. Tell me more about Klient.;)

Where can I go to check out IRC and Klient? You can check more about Klient IRC (http://www.klient.com) and learn more about IRC? if so, this is what I can find at the moment (http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html#intro)
Anyway, I have an question for mIRC expert(s)…. I never have mIRC client on my computer more than thirty days, if I left mIRC client on after thirty minutes, would mIRC still work or would I have to register?

Well, you want to know more about Klient… Klient is an IRC client written in Delphi by a single developer that isn’t as well known as it should be… Klient had multi server support before mIRC did… Klient allows scripting in 5, count them, 5 scripting languages… You can script it in VBScript, JScript, and PerlScript in the currently available 2.0.16… The soon to be released 2.1.x branch adds support for Ruby and Python scripting…
So HOW is mIRC scripting more versatile than Klient scripting..? mIRC scripting is totally different from Klient scripting, in that mIRC scripting uses an embedded “language” created by Khaled and Klient uses actual scripting languages… The skills you gain in scripting in Klient are portable to other applications, since you’re using *real* scripting languages… Seems a lot more versatile to me…
Klient has been hailed as one of the most configurable and best looking IRC clients around… Let’s face it – mIRC has been using the same basic interface since 1995… Klient’s interface is up to date, easy to use, and neatly configurable to your needs…
Like mIRC, Klient is shareware… Klient installs with a 30 day trial, and registration costs roughly $25 USD, and is good for life…
Visit http://www.klient.com for more…
