How do I get rid of the 5 buttons on bottom of list, I have reshack I just need to know what to get rid of

Download DeadAIM…thats the easiest way to do it…itll get rid of all the adds plus more

i dont want to download deadaim, I want it on just my regular buddy list, I know there are ways to do it with reshack I just dont know how

theres a box that usually comes up when going thru the strings that shows u which box it is….maybe its not a string maybe its a graphic…i no all the buttons are graphics so ull have to delete all those button graphics first then maybe itll take away the box at the bottom…

Go there and get AIM Ad Hack for your AIM version. It’s not really an addon, but a patch. You have the option of removing any row of buttons, the AIM ad’s, etc.

i dont want a patch or an add-on I just want the regular buddy list without those buttons now why cant anyone tell me how thats done?

Because I don’t really have the energy too.

But since you want to do it yourself, I applaude you. And will tell you.

If your talking about the IM/CHAT/WRITE/INFO/SETUP go to Dialog 324.
Since you won’t be able to click it, just go to the lines of text, and go to each line. When a box on the pop-up gets highlighted, delete the whole line.
Do that for the 5 buttons.

There you go.

This is just a little off-topic, but I would like to mention that DeadAIM does not work with the latest version of AIM, or any 5.9.XXXX version period. DeadAIM v4.5 only works with AIM v5.5.3599 or below.

Just a note, if you use the patch I supplied, you won’t even know you installed it. It simply replaces the AIMres.dll (the file you edit with reshack) with its own AIMres.dll that already has the buttons reshacked out.
