My brother just got a new Dell computer, upon booting it up he was suprised to be looking at an upside down image of his desktop. It’s not upside down and backwards, just upside down (the start button is in the upper left), and everything including the mouse icon is upside down. Too me, this suggest a hardware problem, but that is as far as I go. Has anyone had this happen before? Did you fix it? Or do we have to send the computer back and let the Dell people fix it?

Not me personally, but don’t let that bother you. You are not alone. Hope that link helps.
Thanks for the link DJhyperbyte, I’m sure my brother will appreciate being able to move his mouse left in order to go left.
My graphics card supports rotating the display..so it can be either sideways (either side) or upside down. I tested the Ctrl + Alt + Up or Down and it does nothing..but it can be changed in the Advanced section of the display properties. If you haven’t been able to get it corrected yet, check for it there.
Aren’t Dell computers made in China?

no?
i’m pretty sure they’re made in the US…they only deliver products to the US, at least.
I just flipped over one of my Dell monitors and it was made in Korea.
