🙁 I just bought a new computer with windows XP. Now I took my old computer and brought it in my room 😀 Now I try to set it up and everytime I plug in the screen, the light on the screen that is green turns Orange, its exactly liek it goes on standby. Now I dont know if its a router card I installed but I dont see how that can be the problem. ANyone have any suggestions. I know its not my screen cuz I tried 2 different screens.
Your monitor cannot handle the resolution that your computer has, it appears.
Control panel > Display properties > Settings (tab) > set to something lower than you currently have for “Screen resolution.”
It cannot be that its cuz I didnt get a new monitor or anything, all I did was take the tower, screen , mouse etc… and brought it in my room. The new computer, I just installed it here, thats what I am currently using. It only stopped once I brought the comp. in my room.
Nope I dont see anything. Its just a black screen. Like if I dont have the wire pluged to my tower, it will say NO SIGNAL or something like that SO then I plug it in then it just like turns black and the On light turns orange. DO u think its my router card I just added? I really want to get it working 🙁
I figured out that it is my Card. Ok Network Interface Card, I learnt somehting new :D. Anyways, I plugged it in beside my Video card, was that a bad idea? Or shoudl I put it in my other available whit slot thing. SOrry I dont know the terms for them!
Sometimes the IRQ of the PCI slot next to the AGP (video) card slot are the same, try one of the others. If that still doesn’t’ work, you’ll have to get a new card.
Ok yes it worked. But it only works on one screen :(. The same problem occurs on the other screen but at least one is working! Thx for your help! Ill go set up my internet on it and if I have any more problems I will post! Thanks again! I really appreciate !
OK! I have another problem! My computer will not read it. I refered to the instruction manual, it told me to go to Add New Hardware Wizard. I did the search and it cannot locate it. HELP! I am getting discouraged!
