I’m running Windows Xp and whether with Windows live messenger or Msn messenger, I’m unable to open Mp3 files that are sent to me. Is there a way around this? Thanks
Hi:
WLM tends to be a strict and overbearing parent when it comes to sending and receiving files. Personally I’d just use plain email to send files to recipients; it’s less of a hassle.
you can send mp3 files via windows live messenger, but if you try and open it via the conversation window it will block and delete it.
A tip would be: once it has been send, do not click open. Instead go to your received files folder and open it via there.
also if you accidently click open, you will be presented with a “unsafe file” dialog box. If this happens, DO NOT click ok, firstly find the file and copy and paste it to create a backup. This way, when you click ok it deletes the original file and not the back up. Which lets you still have a copy of hte file
