I downloaded the beta version from the first link in this thread, but I want to go back to MSN 5.0, I tried uninstalling it but it just gave me an error about an .msi file or something, I tried downloading MSN 5.0 again but it just gave me the same message.. can anybody help me? I’m on Windows 98..

i also had the problem with setup failed when trying to install msn 6 i updated my windows installer and everything worked ok
u can download the update from microsoft site 🙂

I have downloaded the file, both the Zip and the other one and i still can not get this to run on Windows ME.
I have it running fine on my XP pro but it just dont seem to want to work on here, it is kicking up the same errors as everyone has pointed out. Anyone have any idea’s?Well I guess mine isn’t connecting to their .NET service… cuz I tried to get a .NET passport and the wizard couldn’t connect to it. So I’m not quite sure where to go from there…
With this patch you can add a extra TAB to you contacts and download wallpapers and polyphonic ringtones for your mobile.
Do you have msn 6? then follow this steps.
1. FIRST SHUT DOWN MSN
2. Then open your browser and go to this url C:Documents and Settings%username%Application DataMicrosoftMSN MessengerENTER_YOUR_MSN_EMAIL
3. Download (right click and save as) http://users.pandora.be/kevinwuyts/ConfigCache.Xml
4. Replace the original file with the one you downloaded.
5. start msn again and look for the extra TAB in your contacts with the initials PTEnjoy

Yes you can, just make sure you are signed in, and use the little recycle box, beside your contact info.

If you cannot find a site that is working, search the MSN Messenger topics, and there is a new topic with a site, that includes many things for 6, including a game patch, ad remover, tho the ad was never included (at least for me anyway), extra emoticons, and Messenger 6 it self.
