Hi all!
My MSN 7.0 has terrible memory. For some reason, it forgets about my Display Picture and my comments everyday. So everytime that I turn on my computer, it shows both informations from two sessions before, and not the last ones I selected or typed (respectively) the session before.
That is quite annoying, if you ask me…and I am not sure why it does that!. So..I am conviced I left a nice line, and when I open it up, it shows how angry I was two days ago…mmm…lol. Really, it is annoying. It is like it doesn´t refresh the registry correctly or something.

Have you tried an uninstall and re-install? My guess is yes, you might want to check to make sure you don’t have anything else running that might be conflicting with MSN. It seems odd for that to be happening.
Just like Oreo said, do you have any add-on installed like Messenger Plus, StuffPlug or Messenger Discovery?
I had the same problem once with my picture changing every time I logged on and i got my answer here 😉
check all your settings. i remember reading that the personal message is stored on your local computer, also, as you would know, your dp is also.
if your settings are set to not store these on your local machine then that may be why?
try going to tools > security > and unclicking ‘this computer is shared’
if thats not the problem then its beyond me and sorry if i didn’t help.
Actually, I’m having the same problem. My display picture and personal message settings are lost everytime I restart MSN Messenger. The personal message is blanked out, and the display pic is randomly selected from the set of pictures I’ve used in the past (display pic history). It’s a different one every time.
No one else is having this problem?
From what sciencefeeling told me it had to do with the addons and it’s now fixed for her, do you have any plugin as well?
The only plug-in I’ve run is Messenger Plus. I’ll have to check it when I get home. So what was the fix? Remove the plug-in?
This is getting interesting. I checked and I don’t currently have Plus installed on this PC. I’ll try reinstalling Messenger and see if that resolves the problem.
