hey guys. hopefully you can help me out. ive tried to install msn 8.5 after a virus made it onto my computer and wrecked msn..
i can install and use msn 7.0 no worries but when ever i try install anything newer it has an error. code 1603…
ive read all the fixes u guys had for 6.0 when they had this same error pop up.. but none seemed to have worked.. any sujestions?

Perhaps the best 2 – both from the MSN FAQ section here on BBB – for you to check are THIS thread and THIS one.Please let’s know here if this solves your problem, OR equally if it’s no use at all for you – so that others can then benefit later.

Sorry but I don’t understand …. I thought that MSN had now converted/renamed to WLM, and the latest version of that is only “Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0068 Beta”.Can you explain a bit more about this “8.5” ?
