Check it out. Microsoft has announced MSN Messenger 6.0 will be released this summer, possibly as soon as July 17th.

WOW, great news, as far as i’m a MSN Freak…:)
I just love the new look and cool features, I will be able to play chess with my friends who do not have Yahoo…yay….
I think I’m just gonna forget about all other messenger after this comes out!

Wow that looks really cool, i cant wait for it to come out either. Ive always had problems with the webcam part of msn for some reason will be cool to have it integrated and not an addon.

I am amazed at the additions…
buddy icons, like AIM has, 29 new emoticons, taking a total of 75, even animated ones, like Y!M has
Chat backrounds?
Message logging??

Someone e-mailed me to ask where they could get MSN Messenger 6.0, but as far as I know, it hasn’t been released for a public beta test yet. If anyone hears otherwise, please let us know.

I’ve been looking around for more news, and no word of this has been mentioned. Maybe its one of those ‘biggies’ that M$ wants to save for the release?
We’ll just have to sit back and wait, or until someone releases something.

SMS isn’t really a function of the program, but requires agreements with wireless carriers. You might be interested to read about Microsoft’s agreement with Orange to provide MSN/SMS capabilities throughout much of Europe.

Pretty Good, but I use T-Mobile, Orange was kinda crap, so I chose the other one… But still, I tried to use that mobile text feature on My friend’s Vodafone, and it worked but whoever receives the text will pay for it, not the one who sends it. Thats why I turned that feature off from my Option (Tools>Options>Phone>Allow people on my contact list to send messages to my mobile device) And I believe its not fair, that the person who receives the text has to pay 🙁

If u go to http://www.mess.be u can get a leaked version of msn messenger 6 there! 😀 after downloading it from there i tried to run it, but it has an .rar extention what the hell is that:confused:
