you have to select the file msnmsgr.exe located in your directory c:program filesMSN Messenger
if you have more than one operating system(OS), then select the file according to your drive like for 2nd OS, the path may be d:program filesMSN Messenger
I hope it helps…August 12, 2003 at 6:52 pm #93321imported_EvilSeph

MemberThe only possible way you could make a patch like that, were if it was unstable. As Microsoft purposely modified their code in future versions to stop polygamy from working. An “ALL Version” patch that would with msn 1.0 would only possibly work up to the last MSN Messenger 4.x. However, this may work if CRC checks aren’t made or you follow the same procedure that Asdfuae followed to do this. Even his is not “ALL Version” because of the Microsoft code change, he has multiple versions of his patch out that work with a certain range of MSN Messenger’s. Although I haven’t really looked at your project, and I apologise if I’m wrong, but thats what usually is stated about such patches.

ParticipantBeavis:
1. Please use the Edit Button (
) if you need to add something to your previous post.2. To remove your Tabs on MSN Messenger – Tools->Options->Privacy->check the This is a shared computer so don’t display my tabs.
3. How is polygamy spyware? It simply allows you to run multiple instances of MSN Messenger, it only alters the software coding of MSN Messenger. Back up our statements or don’t bother posting them.

ParticipantAh, ok. So it basically may add a link to his website to one of your IE menus. I haven’t noticed anything, but it is good to know. Thanks for letting us know.

MemberI believe it does do that..but how does that make it spyware? Just because its “classified” as spyware, does not mean it is spyware. Seriously…he creates patches..what makes you think he cares about what you search for..or where you go on the internet?

MemberWhat’s up folks, I’ve been having problems installing Messenger 6.0. I have Windows 98 with a Messenger 4.6. Everytime I try to install 6.0, it reads “command line option syntax error.” I made the mistake of deleting all of 4.6 before uninstalling it. Now I’m not sure I can install 6.0. Has anyone had this problem?:D
