Hi,
I’m really annoyed—I recently upgraded to MSN Messenger 6 from MSN Messenger 5.5 or something close that. Before upgrading, I’ve never had a problem. Net Passport would always retain my screen name and password, whether or not I was logged on. Now it’s a pain because Messenger 6 claims that my password doesn’t match the password for e-mail address. This is definitely false because when I re-type my password, I’m taken to my Hotmail account. I always check the remember my password box but Net Passport never retains. I don’t want to have to type in my password everytime. I’ve disabled Norton Personal Firewall 2003 and there’s no change. Please help. Also, I have AOL 8 and when I would start msn messenger MSN Today pops-up—that’s cool but the MSN Today links never work for me—when I click on them nothing happens. There are interesting articles/topics on there but I’m never able to read them 🙁August 2, 2003 at 7:29 pm #58041TigerbladeParticipantmake sure you have cookies enabled on your computer – otherwise .NET Passport wont remember the password. check if you have them on – in Internet Explorer, go to >Tools, then >Internet Options, then to >Privacy. The best setting is probably Medium or lower… I dont know the sequence or options for AOL’s browser. If you have them allowed, then make sure you are deleting them – if you delete the cookies, msn has no way to recall your password.
as for msn today – dont have a clue what might cause that
