MemberI’m not sure as to why this hasn’t been posted yet but MSN Messenger 7.5 Beta has been released
Check out the site for further info:
http://www.mess.beI especially like the voice clip function, where you can record a clip and send it to you’re contact…

MemberI suppose one would have to…but personally, I do not want to go to a site with “****” in the title. Mess.be works for me. Thanks for the info though…I’ll look into that! 🙂

MemberYeah you’re right. You’re probably best sticking to http://www.mess.be ….Just happened to be the first site I looked at really, found it quite good….shame about the name though! :p

ParticipantEven though I was one of those people who would download a copy of those unreleased betas, I have grown to realise why MSN doesn’t want people to have the copy and leave it for beta testers only.
Upon testing this application for MSN I had found it to be unstable for everyday use. I’m not going to argue for anyone not to use it because you will find it somewhere on the net, but just know that if you have problems with it, NO SUPPORT will be given.
Thanks! 😀

MemberSo, apart from the already mentioned voice clip feature, does anyone have any info on what else we can look forward to?

ParticipantAt http://www.mess.be you can find all the info about what’s new in this version, but I suppose the most notable feature is the voice clips.

MemberI’ve been using it for a few days now and yeah, the most noticeable feature is the voice clips. There’s also dynamic backgrounds… which are just animated backgrounds…. not exactly a very exciting new feature. It doesn’t help that the time shown on the Clock Dynamic background is an hour late either.

MemberI’ve just downloaded 7.5.0162, but for some reason I can’t sign in.
I get the error 80048820. When I click ‘Troubleshoot’, I get a tick to the IP test result, but fails straight on the next one (Default gateway). “Your gateway appears to be offline”. What gateway? I am not behind a router, I have a ADSL modem pluged right into the PC.
It says my firewall could be the case, but my firewall usually always asks me when a new version attempts connection, and it didn’t now. Just to be on the safe side, I’ve switched the firewall off, and same thing. Internet connection is, obviously, working OK.
Any ideas?

I have already stated that this is an UNSUPPORTED beta and you have downloaded it illegally intentionally. Thanks for understanding.

MemberOh, right, I assumed, no official support. I thought that it’s all right if I ask someone here for advice. Sorry mate 🙂
No matter. I already re-installed 816, I guess I can wait for proper version.

MemberJust to let you know, the second build of the Beta (Build 162) has been released to Beta testers. The only difference between this and build 160 is the inclusion of an updated AudioVideo Tuning Wizard.
