Hi to all.
I am new into this forum.
My problem with MSN MSNGR 7.5 is very wiered.
I installed the latest version 7.5.0311 and i was happy to play with it.
All was working fine.
Till one day (2days ago) the msngr started to freeze.
When I was starting the program it was freezing and after 5 minutes in was coming offline which i was re-trying to log in and after a little while it was logging in but soon after it was freezing again and i had to wait another 3-4 minutes to be fine ok….and this story goes on and on and on.
I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it again but the problem seems to be there still.
I also mate all the tests on the option section->conectivity and seems to be fine.
When I go to the windows task manager i see that the messenger (NOT RESPONDING) this happens every now and then.
The program is not stable at all.
My connection is 384 adsl.
I also have ta say that i dont get any error numbers like usual.
I just get the freeze. Is there a solution for this matter PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!.
Please let me know as soon cause i will end up mad.November 19, 2005 at 9:13 pm #133651MartinBradleyMemberWelcome to BigBlueBall.
Did you install any plugins which may be causing such problems in MSN Messenger? This includes Messenger Plus! If so, uninstall any such plugins and see if the problem still occurs.
November 20, 2005 at 12:06 am #133656lukanikosMemberThanks for your reply MartinBradley!
I installed sweetIM from the site http://www.sweetIM.com with all the winks and emoticons but i didnt have a serious problem with it.
Everything happend sudenly.
By the way as i sayed before i uninstalled the sweetIM plugin and not only….I uninstalled the whole msn messenger 7.5.311 and reinstalled and the problem is still there.
I really dont know what to do???November 20, 2005 at 12:49 am #133652MartinBradleyMemberIt’s a strange problem which no one seems to have been able to find a solution to thus far. There’s a few threads floating around here on BigBlueBall which deal with similar issues, so I’ll keep an eye on those for you over the next few days or so. I’d advise you do the same, just to see if any solutions pop up.
I’ll let you know, via this thread, if I find anything. It’d be good if you could do the same. Thanks.
November 20, 2005 at 7:14 pm #133657lukanikosMemberAll fine again:D
I uninstalled all programs on the pc and all is back together again
I thing there was a conflict some how with one of the programs installed.
Thank you very much for your help.
🙂 😉November 20, 2005 at 10:52 pm #133653MartinBradleyMemberHeh! Seems like a drastic solution. Nevermind, as long as you got it sorted!

November 29, 2005 at 2:24 am #133659kjasMemberI myself have been experiencing msn 7.5 freezing right after logging in. At first I thought it was very odd, because msn messenger would not work on both my laptop and desktop while at home. Then I realised that msn messenger worked perfectly on my laptop while using other internet connections (i.e at school, friends house, etc.) Apparently this is somehow based around internet connections. Im hoping someone can make sense of all this…..
