Not sure if this has already been addressed, but a while ago someone asked me if I could make or point them to a program that would show what they’re listening to in Windows Media Player on their MSN status. Well, MSN has decided to implement in their new version of MSN Messenger.

A tutorial on how to get it going 🙂
Pretty cool stuff. It’s too bad it doesn’t work with Winamp, I’ll look into that. Maybe, now with this function, it will be possible for us programmers to modify the status a lot easier & make a program for Winamp to work with it.
It does work with winamp. Theres a plugin for winamp created by TheBlasphemer. It feeds the track info to Messenger. See http://mess.be for the messpatch, its included in there.
Ah thanks man, I knew someone had probably created a Winamp plugin for it since now we’re able to modify the status 😀 I’ll add it to my site. Thanks again.
*For anyone wanting a link to it*
http://www.elitenick.com/ccount/click.php?id=24 is a direct link to ‘Toaster’ for MSN 7. After installing just make sure in MSN you check off “Show what I’m listening to in my status” and this program will work with Winamp.
