I have e-mailed the Support People of MSN but got no where. My messenger won’t allow me to send files or pics and I don’t know what to do. Please help!!!
You probably are behind a firewall or proxy server that’s blocking the ports necessary for those features. Where are you using Messenger, at home, work or school? If at home, are you running any firewall software? If so, which kind?
As a test, you might temporarily disable your firewall and test with a friend to see if it works. If so, then you’ve isolated the problem to the configuration of your firewall.
You can also refer to this port reference table for a complete list of the ports that are required for all instant message programs.
