Marshy – Have you tried everything suggested in this topic? Particularly Faizan’s suggestion of downloading the msnmsgs.msi from Neowin’s article here – http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=10102 ?

I’ve tried the stuff up there and well i still can’t sign into msn 6. I’ve tried downloading it and when i do download it on the add/remove program thing it still shows that i have msn 5.0. I’ve got msn 98 and uh.. the latest of IE. i think it is 6 or something like that. I just recently downloaded it cuz someone suggested it on another forum about the msn 6 problems. I was signed in for a while on msn 6 but then i got booted off. I dunno what i did. Oh and i’ve tried to downloade 5.0 off the website that kamran gave but i get an error when i’m trying to download it from the website. Can anyone help me? I’m about ready to get my tennis racket and beat up my computer. I’m really 🙁 at the computer. Thanks in advance.
:)hey im having troubles with Msnmsgs.msi i have read past information yet i still cannot download it, there are problems with Bootstrap i have tried opening it but it will not let me? any ideas?:(

Are you having problems downloading or installing the program?
If you chose “Save” instead of “Run this file from its current location”, you need to locate the file MsnMsgs.Msi on your computer.To do this:
1. Click the Start button and then click Search (or Find) and look under the files and folders category.
2. Type the filename MsnMsgs.Msi then click Search Now (or Find Now)
3. To install the program, double-click MsnMsgs.Msi and follow the instructionsppl stop going to add/remove to uninstall msn messenger. it will always go to the wrong folder to get to the msnmsgs.msi file. u have to search for it if u dont know where it is. C:WINDOWSSYSTEMMSN Messenger 6.0.0602 it should be there. if not go to start, find to search ur comp for it.
i have the same problem but when i try to take out Msn 5.0 it says MsnMsgs.Msi it could not be found. i install 6.0 but when i go in and sign in it says password or user name in in correct and when i try to sign in to hotmail it say page can not be found
