November 17, 2003 at 1:10 am #53268shifterMemberYes, there is a program called “Polygamy” that will allow you to run multiple instances of the same version of MSN Messenger.
For the current version of MSN Messenger (6.1.0202) you can use the Nega Patch. The full version of this patch includes Polygamy as well as disables the “user is typing” message and you log in in “Appear Offline” mode. You can download this version or versions without the UT or AO feature as well from here

This doesn’t require Polygamy as the contact list is saved locally and can be accessed and imported by anyone using your computer.
Edit: To do so go to your main MSN Messenger window (aka Contact List) then click on Contacts >> Save Contact List…
and to Import go to your main MSN Messenger window, click on Contacts >> Import contacts from a saved file…

Actually, polygame doesn’t mean “cloning” an MSN Messenger account, it means “cloning” the MSN Messenger software. Normally, you can only open MSN Messenger only once. With a polygamy patch, you’ll be able to open more than one instance at the same time, which enables you to sign on to multiple accounts from one computer.
