MemberI have a small problem with my sister using MSN also. She always changes the font, and other options which really annoys me, so I often have to go back and change them all.
What I am wondering, is if it is possible to set MSN up to either save font and other information for each seperate login, or to creat a different executable for each login (as in have to different files in program files) so that the preferences are saved.
I use Eudora, and have done the same thing with it, but I am not sure how to go about it with Messenger, or if it is even possible.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thank You,

ParticipantJosh,
What you can do is look into Trillian. Basically what it is – is a seperate program from MSN Messenger, that you can set up a .NET passport on. In addition it also acts as Yahoo Messenger, IRC, ICQ n’ AIM. This way your sister can continue using MSN Messenger while you will be using Trillian. You can read more in our Trillian Forums.Windaphoner

Memberyeah i agree with FF. create a seperate User accounts in Windows, one for u and other for ur sister. when ur sister logs on to HER account, all of her changes made will be saved to her account and when u log on to ur account u will hav different setting and u can change them once and they will stay the same for u the next time u log on. that way, ur sister can make any changes and it wont affect u. To make user accounts in windows, go to control panel>User accounts and over there create seperate accounts for u and ur sis.

ParticipantYes……..
That was my first thought. But compare the amount of space 1 whole account takes up on your computer compared to just 1 program.

MemberYeh thatsa good point! it depends really…if ur fighting for space on ur computer, then go with windaphoner’s option and get trillian! you’ll find it a lot easier…but if you’ve got masses of free space and dont mind logging in each time to ur computer, then go with FF’s idea

MemberWell I would rather not set up another profile, even though I have plenty of space. I’ll give trillian another shot, although I had it about a year ago and didn’t think much of it…

It is not as reliable as the others, drops connections often and cant hold a connection to Yahoo longer than 10 mins. Its ugly, clunky n obviously in need of a profesional face lift.

But hey! l wouldnt stop anyone from lookin at it.

Memberi personally dont see the attraction to vista!! trillian looks and works much better!! if i were to recomend any joint client software like that, i wud definately reccomend trillian first!!
