MemberI just recently purchased a new computer, which is great, but unfortunatley all my music is still saved on my old computer. Is there any way to transfer the 200+ files of music onto my new computer, without the use of an external hard drive or something of that sort? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ParticipantDo they both have network cards? If so, you could just network them together. Please give us a bit more info about your systems if you need further help.

MemberNo they both do not have network cards. And I do have a CD burner, but it would probably take forever to get all the songs burned to CD’s then ripped back onto the new computer. Any other ideas?

ParticipantDon’t burn the music files as an audio CD, burn them as Data, then you can fit 700MB worth of songs on one CD and you won’t need to do any useless converting. If you have tons of songs and don’t want to waste CD’s just keep re-using a CDRW disc.

Memberthe only way i know of that you can only connect 2 pcs if you can network them so both the pcs need a network card. So the only ways left is to use an external harddrive or cd 🙂 sorry

ParticipantYou could also link them with Serial or LPT, but that might be slower than just burning data CDs.

Participantjust keep them as .MP3 files and burn them as a data CD, it won’t take to incredibly long especially if you have a 48x burner, have a little patients.
