I recently purchased an iPod and I do not know how to transfer the music from cds to the ipod or cds to files on my computer..It seems that it wont let me copy them as if it is on a CD-R.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
You will need a CD ripper to copy the music from a CD onto your computer in Mp3 format. Windows Media Player and Winamp can do this. There are several free CD rippers you can download out there; try searching Google.
doesn’t iTunes do this for you?
Oh..in that case it is easy. The man at the store said that you have to buy some special software from them or you have to buy from Apple itself and you cannot copy from a cd to the iPod. Thanks all.
Well I am sure that guy was doing his job and trying to rip you off and making you buy some crappy software that does what you can do for free :).
