MemberHi there, Marcus . . or Jeff.
I notice a new post by Jay123 with a YM problem, but in “Introductions”.
I tried to move it, but appear to have access only to the “Yahoo” areas. 🙁Can this be extended please (at LEAST to Introductions!)

MemberI know this is in the Yahoo section, so one does not like to intrude 😉
But saw Ian’s post and wanted to add my little bit, as it was about the section I help with.
In the introduction section we do get alot of new people posting there. They are unsure, so they are mainly just wanting help for a IM problem. They are not actually wanting to introduce themselves at all. I know, I personally move about 3 a day in intro, to the appropriate section. So it is a problem we have to keep an eye on in my section.
But just wanted to say to Ian, we know about it and the staff in CC take care of it. But if you see any and we are not online on BBB at the time just email the staff in CC so we are able to move it to the section it needs to be.

ParticipantIt’s something that we do a LOT in the CC, moving posts from the intro spot to the correct forum, but really thats all we do other than deleting spam sometimes, since we aren’t in a technical or ‘problem’ based forum.
And really, the few hours it takes before one of us moves it doesn’t stop people from posting the solution to the problem, or other questions and suggestions.
Introductions is under the CC, so I don’t mean to be kinda cold about this but I’d feel a lot more comfortable if we were left to take care of our section. If it were ever to become a problem area or we feel overwhelmed for some reason, then I’d have no problem having some helpy helpers, but with Sarah and I, we have things essentially under control, in my opinion…

MemberI like to help now and then too…geez…but my 2 cents…the reason you don’t have access in CC is that you are a Yahoo! Mod…the same reason we don’t have access in Yahoo! (though I used to :D)

ParticipantIan, your moderating permissions are only active in the Yahoo! Forums. You can move topics out of Yahoo, but you can’t move them in from another forums. It’s up to the Advisors/TL’s of each forum to move threads that do not belong to their particular forum. Trust me, you dont want to step on the CC Teams toes! 😉

MemberOk, thanks all for responses.
I’m still trying to figure all what I can/can’t / should/shouldn’t do with these powers. No prob.
(Sorry, CC guys – I promise I’m not plotting a takeover 😉 ) -
