I can’t install anything on my computer, so I used icq to go, but now, that jerk block the “go.icq.com” web page, I don’t know how to launch the icq to go then. pls help, thx.
If you have pop-up blocker or firewall enabled, try to allow go.icq.com to pop up for you.
What is ICQ?
You can learn more about ICQ: https://bigblueball.com/im/icq and http://www.icq.com . 🙂
Here’s a solution.
Instead of trying to connect to login.icq.com with your workstation, connect to an unrestricted machine (via SSH or HTTP), which subsequently will connect to login.icq.com.
For example, I have Trillian Pro running on my home machine with the I.M. Everywhere plugin enabled. What the I.M. Everywhere plugin does is set up an Web server on my home machine so that I can connect to my home Trillian from anywhere with a web browser. So I just point any browser to my home IP address and in the browser appears my Trillian contact list and so I can connect to ICQ and send and receive messages.
Another option is to connect to a *nix box with SSH and run Centericq or Micq or any other text based ICQ client.
