My AIM will not load ANY of my BLs

Hey everyone. This is my first post on these forums. You guys seem to know what’s going on a lot of the time, so I thought I’d see if anyone could help me out with this problem I’m having.

Whenever I try to import a buddy list my AIM will not load it. It loads the buddy list for like two seconds and then it vanishes and reads “Offline 0/0”, so if anybody could help me out I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Also, what does it mean if an account is suspended? After a while will the account become unsuspended? My account’s not suspended by the way.

Usually if an accounts suspended, that means that the user once had AOL and cancelled their membership and they suspend your screen name. If thats not the case, then I am not sure.

Oh, I see. Thanks. Does that mean eventually it will become unsuspended and available for registration?

I think it takes 60-90 days for the screename to become available again, and that is only if you just don’t log on to it for a certain amount of time.

If an account is suspended, it never becomes unsuspended. Though, I don’t know what AOL’s policy on AOL screenames is.

I don’t know about your buddy list problem though. Please tell me if you fix it because my friend Lauren’s buddy list does the same thing.

I had that happen to me when I went from one of the newer versions of AIM to a previous one. So if any of you have maybe tried out a newer one and not liked the cluttered look of it and went back? Maybe that could be the problem?

I have no clue what’s going on with it, but mine is basically doing the same thing. The only thing that shows up on my buddylist window is Offline 0/0. I can’t load buddy lists; I can’t even add a group so that I could add some screen names. All it does is give me some “One or more of the additions or modifications could not be saved” message. I tried adding groups/buddies with AOL and nothing happened.. And the tech support reps only tell me to use Quick Restore or reinstall AOL to fix the problem. This happened after I updated to 5.9; anyone know how to fix this short of using another screen name? Thanks!
