I’m using AIM 5.2.3292, but it won’t go idle… I’m not looking to use a moded AIM to be idle all the time, I just want my AIM to go idle when I’m gone for 10 minutes…
Anyone know why this is happening? I’m using Windows 98 if that matters.
Thanks

you don’t idle until you are gone for 20 minutes:eek:

February 5, 2004 at 7:36 pm #50345tontamooMemberIf you go to your preferences in AIM, under Buddy List there is a series of check boxes. The one that says Dim buddies after they have been idle for ___ minutes. You can input any number you wish there. So, you can have 10 minutes. However, I would venture to say that practically no one bothers to change the default of 20 minutes.
It does go idle, but it hasn’t reached the threshold for the screen name to dim. If you take a look at some friends’ information (hover your cursor over their name) you’ll see different stats like online time and idle time. It will count the idle time even if its only 1-2 minutes, but like I mentioned before. Their screen names won’t dim until it’s reached that threshold of usually 20 minutes. The same applies for you.
