Hello everyone,
Let me begin with a warning (probably not the wisest thing to do, but I will anyway): I love writing so I apologise in advance for the length of my introduction and I do hope, Jeff, that by the end of this post you’ll know more than enough about me ;).
Who am I?..
Hmm, where to begin? Well, I’m known by the alias “EvilSeph” or (originally) “Sephiroth”. You may remember me as being a Mess.be Adminstrator. You can usually find me on the MsgHelp.net forums, browsing Neowin.net, on these forums and a number of other communities. I love helping people with MSN Messenger and as such have been recognised by Microsoft as an expert for MSN Messenger (Microsoft MVP) [two years/terms running baby!] – which is why I’m here, I like BigBlueBall and would like to give back to Jeff and his staff for all their hard work by helping out on these forums as an Advisor.
I’m quite involved with Messenger Plus! both as a community and the product as a beta tester and with Patchou, which is why I was so passionate about getting the truth out regarding the Messenger Plus! sponsor (click for post) and am sometimes involved with the odd Mess.be project (currently the Mess FAQ). I guess I’ll come out and say it – I like, no love to stick my nose into anything related to MSN Messenger as I really enjoy messing around with it and discovering new tricks to add a function or remove one etc. As you can tell, I’m really passionate about MSN Messenger.
My friends online would probably say I like to challenge authority and I agree, I do like to challenge authority but only if I strongly believe that something is wrong and should be changed. I’m pretty experienced with forum management both from a moderator point of view and an administrator point of view as well as forum software in general, IPB, phpBB, vBb, SMF etc.
A little bit about the “real” me…
My name is Warren and I am originally from South Africa and am now living in Canada, finally as a Canadian! I’m currently in my third year (actually, finishing) of high school and have used a computer for a couple years, been messing around with MSN Messenger for about the same amount of time I’ve been messing around with computers and I have been addicted to IRC for a few years too. My favourite subjects are English and Computer Sciences (there are others, but I’m not that into them). I enjoy listening to pretty much any type of music except country, classical, opera and western and any hardcore type of music (hardcore rap, hardcore rock etc.). I enjoy reading mystery, fantasy, horror and the occasional romance novel – actually, I enjoy reading a good book regardless of the genre and enjoy writing articles, news posts, letters, tutorials etc. My favourite sports are basketball and cricket even though I’m not the sporty type. Something most people don’t know about me, is that I enjoy singing :).
Speaking of IRC. I think it would be appropriate of me to advertise a bit here. I run BigBlueBall’s IRC server and would like to invite you all to come on in and chat with myself and the other staff. Who knows, maybe you can convince some of the other staff members to join us too!

I would also like to informally tell you guys that I am working on the IRC server, trying to improve it and hope I can make it more appealing to you guys because it is really quiet right now.
I haven’t really been all that active in the actual community here at BigBlueBall and I am really trying to change that, it’s sad really. I’ve been making it a goal of mine to become a member here at BigBlueBall. An actual member that you all know and are comfortable chatting with, asking questions etc. not just one of those Staff Members who helped you but you don’t really know them. Some of you probably don’t even know me and for that I apologise for my rudeness and I hope this overly…large… post makes up for it. If not, I would really love to get to know you, so just drop in on IRC and talk to me. If I am there I’ll respond, otherwise I’m either busy or at work.
Not enough? I’m not really good at writing introductions so feel free to ask me any questions and I’ll edit my post if I feel an answer is needed. I apologise for the atrocious grammar and/or english, I can’t seem to type properly today 😛

I just can’t find the right words for this!!! Why, pray tell, did you wait so long for the intro??? More importantly, what was that very “effective” threat? I must have it for my arsenal. And finally, just how evil is “not as evil as you think?”
I know that none of these questions are directed at me but i know some of the answers!

I would just like to add that if you do not know how evil I can be, that’s a good thing. I’m not sure how to explain it…
Vanessa “threatened” to post an “EvilSeph’s Introduction” thread, thus forcing me to post an introduction regardless as I do not like disappointing people.

I was quite surprised to get answers to my questions. I meant most of them in jest, but I liked the responses – from both of you! Your intro was very impressive, and strangely intimidating.:)
As for IRC, don’t you have to download something to use it? Or am I confusing that with something else? Being really new to PC’s I’m leery of anything I can’t “right click and save as”!!!

and Tea Granny – for IRC, you can use the BigBlueBall chat page if you dont want to download anything… otherwise i suggest you install something like mIRC if you want a standalone program for IRC.

Well actually it didn’t take a while to post, I just..forgot because I was waiting for Shifter’s verification that I was an Advisor indeed.
That..and I’m shy because…right now I’m rather sensitive and the littlest things bother me, so I was kind of scared to post it.
Well better late than never! 😉 It was great to read all about you, must admit I did not know you all that well. A wonderful intro, wish they were all as interesting.
