January 5, 2004 at 8:14 pm #51432OpTiMiStMemberhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 1st of all i advice u to dont write any dumn msgs to ppl on MSN….2nd for the 1st time when u chat with any1 so MSN has option to save all messges ….and it asks before closing chat window…i think u have pressed YES so it saved ur messeges…..
3rd…there r lots of KEY LOGGER can save all ur activities on the net and in computer as well………..
ur mum n dad are really geniuse and they are carefull about character and ur life……………..maybe they installed keylogger to save ur all activities…………………..hope it helps u..
GOD bless u ……January 5, 2004 at 10:46 pm #51437shifterMemberMost likely they have installed a keylogger program and can read every word you type on that computer, including the post you wrote above. Most legitimate keyloggers aimed at parents are password protected and hidden from your view. No way around it but to watch what you say.
January 6, 2004 at 2:40 am #51439korruptmindMemberdo a search on your computer for words like key logger, child protection and stuff like that.. also u can try to make a new user on ur computer and lock it with a password lol
January 7, 2004 at 9:08 pm #51438coolguyj2Membercheck wht prgrams load at startup… even if its a keylogger it will run at startup…
go to Start-> run and type msconfig and look under startup tab for suspicious things…
best of luckJanuary 10, 2004 at 5:11 am #51441QwertyMemberHow old are you chellalvztom? Depending on your age you might have to make them stop. (legally)

Not if chellalvztom does not own the computer.
January 10, 2004 at 5:50 am #51430detn8rParticipantIt doesn’t matter if they own the computer or not. Tho however if the child is under age of majority, they may do so. If they are over 18, it’s considered invasion of privacy whether it’s your parents or not.

Something tells me it’s not.
Put it this way:
If I have a computer in my house that belongs to me and I install a keylogger on it, then you come over and sign on MSN (Your 25 years old), you can legally force me to take the keylogger off MY computer?!

No. But you can ask him nicely not to read it.:p
Put it this way:
I don’t have a computer so I have to go to the local library and use theirs. Because it is owned by the library/government does that mean they can read my email? Or at an internet cafe, etc?:)
Seriously though, I have no idea. It must be ilegal somehow though.
January 11, 2004 at 5:15 am #51433gaz_berottenMemberOkay shifter i apologise if this may seem devious. But what you must do if they are reading your messages is go into the start bar and look though all your programs and find the keylogger. Then you should get the creators website link email etc. Send this to the authorities as it is illegall to even log anyones private messages. Inform your parents that no one has the right to breech peoples privacy on the net. If its not their hit ctrl alt del and look for any progs with a suspicious exe file in them any ones that are not either system or local service are files that are running in the background. Find out the name of the actuall .exe file thats running the keylogger and close all your me applications and delete the keylogers .exe file. Thats the file you click to run the keylogger. Now after doing this the keylogger wont work. If they do decide to do it again make a shortcut to the programs folder located in the c program files directory and then the name of the keylogger. Store this shortcut onto floopy and dont let your parents know about it. Use the floopy with your shortcut on it and delete the main .exe file everytime before you go into instant message conversations. Now they wont be logged and your parents wont know whats going on.
Should you need any more help just reply and you can email me.
January 11, 2004 at 1:14 pm #51443ashthemanParticipantWith these keyloggers do they record it if u type in using the onscreen keyboard on xp as that would be a good way round the problum, also if they are reading it from messenger+ mke sure they are 1 coded and 2 if they are very private put into a zip file which is passworded and then encrpted.
HTH

you can either download patchou messenger plus http://www.msgplus.net/ and go to options > logging > encryption, tick the box, then your parents wil need your password to read your chatlogs,
or see your friends on yahoo essenger, and use the web version which u can access from any computer and that doesnt log any chat. no custom installation is required. u can open it here: http://messenger.yahoo.com/ (bottom of the page)
hope this helps.January 11, 2004 at 6:14 pm #51436shifterMemberDownloading another program such as MsgPlus will not stop them from keylogging, unless you are currently using it and it is how they are reading your convos.
Using a web version will also not likely have any affect on a keylogging program, as it likely logs everything you type, not just in MSN Messenger. But if you were going to try a web-based, why not try an MSN one, as Yahoo will not connect to the MSN networks, unless every one of your friends use Yahoo as well.
