MemberThanx for your post Sarah, I was looking forward to hearing from you…:D
T’was great in Portmeirion, so chilled but atmospheric..!
And thanx to Spike for popping by to say hello
but as for that Worship loving Prince person well where can I start!!!:woot:
No, actually you are quite right to pull me up about my offhand description of you. You are quite right and it was a liberty. I owe you a beer or something…and you have proved in the post that I am replying to that you do indeed have a human touch.
Still think long, long posts are tiresome and tend not to be read beyond first couple of paragraphs [from my own experience] but that’s no reason to make assumptions about the character of somebody that I don’t know.
Glad to hear you have no thoughts of banning me but I warn you now, you will be sorry, you had your chance!!!

ParticipantI hadn’t seen a introduction with so many posts so i had to come and check what was going on and welcome the person who got a long thread for their intro! ๐
Welcome to BBB! Nice to see you posting around the forum and hope you will continue to do so.
As a side note, princeG was just giving you friendly advice and i probably would have done the same because we usually try to avoid double posting unless it’s absolutely necessary! You have no reason to fear anyone here (unless they come out with guns or weapons, because when that happens i’ll be running there with you! ๐ฎ ) Everyone is just here to help everyone out and i’m sure after being here a while you will be the one helping out a new-comer.
But once again Welcome! Always great to get more active new members.

ParticipantWorshipher wrote:Rapidkitten, I feel exactly the same way about you, such a natural reaction and by that fact so welcoming. Am In really as eloquent and long-winded as you? I havn’t been around the site long enough to check out the veracity of this [and note, sometimes I love the big words…:D ] prefering to just get stuck in and waswer this torrent of welcomes that makes it sa good to get back in the reclining seat…Wonder what you mean by the card play and what a five is…something tells me you like to be a abit of an enigma but agian I could be making total bottom of myself.
I will find out, soon.
*cackles a bit* Well, I don’t quite know about the enigmatic part… *quirk, looks around* What do you think, guys? Am I an enigma dipped in chocolate and smothered in nuts? Heh, I never really thought about it too much, though I will say that I’ve got the impression that 95% of the time, people haven’t the faintest idea what I’m talking about.
Then again…90% of the time I’m not quite sure what I’m talking about either. *tilt of the head* Really just random things pop into my head and seem like a good idea at the time. Jokes and such, you see.
Point in case, the cards, heh. Seems that my brother and friend decided to break out all their old pokemon and magic:tg cards. So lately…everyone is a card. Just minor obsessions that come and go by the ebb and flow of night… … *tilt* Under the influence of entirely too much caffiene, WoW and Guitar Hero, not to mention the token geek’s vice — Lack of Sleep.
But yes yes, as for this minor scuffle of sorts *licks George and hands him a guitar* Don’t worry, be happy my lovely and play me something with a little… … mmm… a little heart to it, will you? *grins*
Prince G (The Mr. George) is a lovely little greek dove with a penchant for music, and an invaluable dove at that. He gives good advice, and a very well meaning fellow. Heh, best to take his advice as such and completely innoxious. I can’t think of a single time he’s ever had a post with any meaningful bite to it. *vicious grin* I imagine they leave that quota up to me to fill. *cackles*
As for long posts and such… I know from experience being the — ah what delicious word did you use? Loquacious! I know from experience, being the Loquacious little thing that I am, that long posts do sometimes get lost in the shuffle. But, there are worse things. Like long posts that aren’t split up properly and in one solid chunk of text. Tricks of the trade to us with the gift of gab (or the curse of chatter) know to make our rants seem more readable and appealing *wink*
Also, generally, when people see their names mentioned, they take the extra second or two to read whatever section was meant for them. So really, while I would agree generally with your statement that they don’t get read very often, I think in the case of thanking people, that they would take the effort to read it since it is about them. And we all know how much people love to be mentioned and personally thanked *wink* Curiosity killed the cat. *EEP!*
Alright, cutting it short. *snip*

MemberThanx to hatedjealousy of Texas. They say everything is bigger out there but at least the size of my intro has impressed you!
Seriously, I know it’s going on abit now but I wanted to say hello back to you and hello again rapidkitten who I think I’m gonna like alot.
Thanx for the advice about the princely one but it doesn’t matter how many peolpe tell me I should have posted those 3 or 4 separate and long responses in one chunk it just isn’t happening dude!
:crying: ๐
I was wondering why I went to bed last night with nearly 30 posts and woke up this morning with less than 25, seems the editing of the long post that I chopped up as I saw fit was taken out of my hands overnight.
Thankyou for that bit of moderator muscle flexing.
I’m sure that you will realise how impressed I am!
Want to get rid of new members and ignoring their posts hasn’t worked? Try simply overriding how they would prefer to set out their posts, that’ll get rid of the bloody nuisances!
Nice.

MemberPlease do not take what I am about to say or do as a way to get rid of new members…for we certainly do not want to do that. Indeed, welcome, and this is quite an interesting intro thread. I will, however, now be closing this thread. I think it is turning into something else than it was meant to be. Sarah has already tried to defuse it…but it seems that some of the things she warned about are still occurring.
Worshipher, no one is trying to get rid of you or any new member. I was not the one who merged your posts, but the staff member who did, was following the rules we have here on the site. It is not a way of disparaging any member, new or old, it is a way of keeping some consistency in the forums. The number of posts behind a person’s name does not give them credibility, it is the quality of those posts. For the most part, your posts have been good. Even if they are long, people will read them…trust me…I have been here a long time. I hope you understand and you are more than welcome to private message me and discuss this at further length. Or you are welcome to either e-mail me at oreo@bigblueball.com or Jeff (as you know the admin) at Jeff@bigblueball.comNow let me end this on a positive note, a very hardy welcome to the site and I hope you have fun exploring all of the forums. ๐
