WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS REMOVE YAHOO MESSENGER OF YOUR COMPUTER THEN GO INTO START/ALL PROGRAMS/ ACCESOURIES/ SYSTEM TOOLSSYSTEM INFORMATION. NOW ACCESS THE SYSTEM STARTUP TAB AND REMOVE THE TICK NEXT TO Y PAGER.EXE. RESTART THE COMPUTER THEN REINSTALL YAHOO. AND GO TO THIS FOLDER C:PROGRAMFILESYAHOO AND MAKE A COPY OF THE FOLDER AND PUT IT SOMEWHERE YOU WILL REMEBER IT. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN CLOSE DOWN YAHOO AND USE YOUR BACK UP FOLDER COPY IT AND THEN PASTE IT INTO C:PROGRAMFILES. THIS WILL RESTORE MESSENGER BACK TO NORMAL AS IF NOTHING HAPPEND. Thanks for the helpful tips. 🙂 I ran into somewhere yesterday that someone had been talking almost exactly like this but I didn’t remember where it was. 🙁

Membersecadmirer my advice is to unistall it and put windows 98 on it. You will find more programs work on 98 than they do windows xp, 2000, Milenium. Also have you checked for any cds you have burned data onto if you have a cd writer. Some programs have errors on windows xp like fun games you downloaded and the only way around it is windows 98. In xp they removed stuff you could do on 98. Send me a screen dump to gwillmer@hotmail.com of your system information tools menu and then email me that and i will go though it for you

http://www.iolo.com and dl the s/w “System Mechanic” I use the s/w and it wrks gr8!!! it will help u to disable all the things u dont want at startup, and many more things!!! also if u want its registrratio info then mail me…. I am not allowed tp post here due to terms and cond of this forum….
Also Gaz, win 2k and xp are entirely diff, so if a appn doesnt run on xp it doesnt mean it wont run on 2k, I havent fnd any game/ s/w which failed to run on 2k…. just tellingJuly 7, 2003 at 3:24 am #60394secadmirer_1998
