MemberOK…here’s a new one…I think. I am starting to wonder if I have something in my PC. I just was shut off of messenger with the MYYAHOO.dll being the wiseguy…..anythoughts on that? I did not think this had to do with the other problems I was having which is why I did not continue on the other thread. It just seems that things are suddenly happening again out of the blue. Is there a deep, dark new boot code lurking out there??:(

THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY BOOTING AND YAHOO MESSENGER HACK PROGS. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS REMOVE YAHOO MESSENGER OF YOUR COMPUTER THEN GO INTO START/ALL PROGRAMS/ ACCESOURIES/ SYSTEM TOOLSSYSTEM INFORMATION. NOW ACCESS THE SYSTEM STARTUP TAB AND REMOVE THE TICK NEXT TO Y PAGER.EXE. RESTART THE COMPUTER THEN REINSTALL YAHOO. AND GO TO THIS FOLDER C:PROGRAMFILESYAHOO AND MAKE A COPY OF THE FOLDER AND PUT IT SOMEWHERE YOU WILL REMEBER IT. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN CLOSE DOWN YAHOO AND USE YOUR BACK UP FOLDER COPY IT AND THEN PASTE IT INTO C:PROGRAMFILES. THIS WILL RESTORE MESSENGER BACK TO NORMAL AS IF NOTHING HAPPEND. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPITALS
GAZ BE ROTTEN 😀

MemberI actually just re-installed a few days ago b/c the entire thing was pissing me off. I did not know it was a boot!! Do you think I still need to do all of that….or will I be OK?? ALSO…if I have not been chatting with Y!Messenger in rooms…how could this happen to me?? Is one of my friends not so friendly???

Membergaz, you could have typed in proper capitalisation.
As for removing messenger from startup tab, there is no need. Uninstalling and re installing corrects it.
It could be a boot code, or just errors in the program.

Memberthanks Freddy, as usual, it’s always nice to have your input..I did re-install….but to get 5.5 I had to get the UK version…not that I’m complaining I usually like the UK site better… but it’s just as safe, right?

MemberYou lose adult and user rooms with the UK version, but other than that it’s ok.
If you want the above, or want an older US version, go here for a list http://www.freecreed.com/ymsgr-archive 1254 was latest before 5.6!
