With things slowing a bit here at the BBB I thought I post this off topic question to see just what people watch on TV on a regular bases. They say Television can be addictive, although I rarely ever watch it myself I do have one show I watch everytime it comes on.
So here is the question folks. Name your favorite television show?
To start things off I like watching Ghost Hunters on the Sci-fi channel
May 15, 2006 at 12:02 am #144452TigerbladeParticipantI very rarely watch tv anymore… for a few reasons. one is that i just didn’t have much time for it anymore, being at the tail end of my senior year of college (finished with that yesterday, by the way… i now have my BBA!). the other reason is that there just wasn’t much on that interested me anymore.
if for some reason i do have a chance to sit down and watch tv, here is the *very* short list of shows i’ll willingly watch.
. CSI – preferably the original Vegas series… CSI:Miami is ok, and I haven’t had a chance to check out the CSI:NY series
. Battlestar Galactica, although I missed the last 2/3 of the second season… i’m now waiting for it to come out on DVD so i can catch up
. Stargate, although I’m starting to lose interest in that even, as they’ve moved on considerably from the original plotline (which they had to, but still) and even the newer Atlantis series is losing steam
. MythBustersMay 15, 2006 at 1:51 am #144469PolarBearNPRParticipantThe only time I stop to watch TV is for Scrubs, and sometimes The Dog Whisperer (we have an out-of-control mutt). Other than that, I’m known to watch The Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob Squarepants, Mythbusters, Monk – in other words, I watch TV with my kids.

Anyway I rarely watch TV and if I do that will be News and of course The Simpson’s :p

But like Kudo I love the Simpson’s as well, everything stops in my house at 6.00 pm it’s Bart time! I was a massive Sex in the City fan, but sadly that’s all gone now. :crying:
May 15, 2006 at 9:20 pm #144464princeGParticipantI’ll go with Lost, it has an original scenario and always keeps you nail-biting at the edge of your seat for what’s gonna happen next.
May 15, 2006 at 11:24 pm #144450Jeff HesterKeymasterThere are three shows I watch consistently:
- 24 – Extremely addictive. Each season stands on it’s own. You might want to rent the DVDs if you’re new to it.
- The Sopranos – Maybe it’s an accurate depiction of the mob today, or maybe not. But I find this show terribly amusing.
- Lost – Weird is the best word to describe this show. Another one that you really have to watch from the beginning to appreciate.
In spite of this, I’m not a huge TV fan. Thank God for Tivo — I can skip over the commercials — and I don’t have to let the television networks dictate my schedule.

May 18, 2006 at 6:41 pm #144455RabidKittenParticipantI’m not… a big Television fan… *cough* But, there are a few that I just love catching and a couple I watch on DVD.
Family Guy
Scrubs (Zach Braff is amazing…thank you man for Garden State)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
South Park
Law And Order (all the flavors)
CSI
Anything on G4 (Especially X-Play, Noctournal Emissions and Icons)
Pirates of Dark Water (Hey they sometimes show reruns…)
Project Runway (I … don’t know why *twitch*)
The Boondocks
Outlaw Star
Stargate (okay I got hooked when I was in Jersey two summers ago…)
Penn & Teller: Bull****!
Tales from the CryptYeah I have a long list, though I only catch them maybe once every couple months…though now that I’m staying in a place with cable…I could be in trouble.
PS- OH MY GOSH! While looking around at Zach Braff’s filmography… he did the voice for Chicken Little on Kingdom Hearts 2. *swoon* … that’s it, he is my new hero in life… *falls over*
May 18, 2006 at 6:59 pm #144453TigerbladeParticipanti find it amusing how many people have listed MythBusters as one of their favorite shows. and i wasn’t aware boondocks had been made into a show.
and sami… stargate. you continue to awe me.
May 18, 2006 at 9:24 pm #144456RabidKittenParticipantI caught Boondocks last night for the first time in months when I was trying to sleep (plus side to sleeping on the couch, if you can ignore the screaming birds in the morning heheheh, you get the tv). Cartoon Network, Adult Swim. I love it.
*blushes* Like I said, I got hooked on Stargate when I was in Jersey visiting a friend two summers ago. Been a fan ever since even though I’m almost completely clueless since I haven’t seen it in so long. Actually, I had to have my mom teach me how to record shows on her little box just for it since I always miss it. You didn’t think you were alone, did you, Tom? *smile* We have more little things in common than you thought *shrugs, sly smile*
…I just thought of another… I love catching Cirque du Soleil. Such great music and just entirely too much fun to watch.
