Need trivia for Yahoo chat

Howdy

I am brand new user. I have been reading around the different threads to familiarize myself. I have seen this topic in a couple other places and it did provide some information.

I would like to have an automated trivia chat bot for Yahoo chat. Some of you may have seen these kinds of bots in IRC. So that is basically what I have been looking for. From a previous thread I was able to find one called ytrivia that someone posted a link for.

So I downloaded ytrivia but am unable to login my bot for it. I get invalid username/password. I used the same name to verify an account subscription here so I know the name is not the issue.

So I am asking if anyone knows of a different program that works or may be of some use in information. Like for instance. I do not know the nature of programs that login to Yahoo and if they may be rendered useless by Yahoo patches because of the way they handle logins internally. I am able to paste new server hostnames into it but maybe I am not choosing the right servers and ports. Or maybe someone has an updated working one. Any help is appreciated. Thanx

Just an update.

I’ve used this program for about a year and haven’t had any serious problems. Of course it takes time to get your bot logged into a room, but hey, it takes me awhile to get into the room also.

I’m pretty sure the newest version is now version 3.

I have sent the guy who created it a bunch of trivia questions that I’ve collected (hundreds of thousands of them), to be incorporated into the program.

This is great fun, and sure does break up the void of chat every once in awhile.

The best fun, is making up your own questions.

hi netti nice to meet u here. my trivia bot is not working from yesterday it logged out and not joining room on ANY ID FROM ANY COMPUTER to any room. it was working before yesterday any suggestion? or new updates from chris for ytrivia

I doubt the bot will login now due to changes Yahoo made to their servers. You’ll have to wait for the author of the program to update Y!Trivia.

THANKS BRO venom. i have Ytrivia bot by chris version 0.3 it was working til yesterday now its patched servers problm.. any other TRIVIA BOT??
it was working well but from yesterday its not working something wrong with yahoo servers and port inside it .. Now its not joining room and disconnect same problem for all other users…. servers are
cs1.msg.dcn.yahoo.com:5050 to cs60.msg.dcn.yahoo.com:5050 what i do now please i want to run my trivia again Help me please.

There is nothing wrong with the program itself.

Just the yahoo! servers are not responding to room join requests properly and dropping a lot of packets in that area.

When yahoo fix this issue (again) the program should operate proper.

CJ has created a ytrivia program that is about 65% finished, but it works great!!!

He’s adding many more options, etc. but here is the program so far.

ps Does the author of this program have a grudge against Yahelite? He doesn’t let us use it if we have Yahelite running which is a shame. LOL

Hello!!!! Finally I found and glad to find this forum coz i myself is one trivia addick hehehe… Looks like most of us here had the same experienced about ytrivia 3.0 by Chris.. Well I will look forward to the new trivia program and please Netti if the full version is out, could you give us the link here.. ytrivia 3.0 by Chris is all time fav bot, new ytivia by cjdelphi is ok something is better than nothing,cj will complete it soon,right now new trivia is ok not good not bad we want ADMIN Commands, Answer if no body answer question, Scores , Team play, Hints etc. I hope CjDelphi will do that.
Yes there must be something between Cj and Yahelite author, so we cant use his clonetrivia/cmoodbooter1.29/decent booter2.1 if yaheite is running.
