When i try and and access my computer from my parents over the network it says it needs a password. I dont have a password and i dont remember setting one up. How can i find out my password and/or how can i remove the password?

This isn’t something that you can just explain in one forum post. Have a look at Windows 2000 Networking.
If you log in with “Guest” and no password it might actually work also.

You need to set up sharing and access permissions (which includes a password) on your computer before you can access it from a network.

As I have only been at this particular workplace for about 2 weeks, I had to ask how they had set up access on the network. Even though the network was originally set-up by a paid “professional computer technician”, there was no security implementations put in place, such as a simple password or original account login name. Unbelievable.
Anyway, to answer your question, they had it set up to login as simply ‘administrator’ with no password required. This may be the default account name for your systems as well. (You will need to have set up some Shared Folders, as Dee has already pointed out, as well.) Good luck. 🙂

2: From my computer, right click, ‘explore’, right click on a drive and select properties, select tab for sharing, create a shared drive.
If a folder or drive is not shared it cannot be accessed via remote connection.
