KPK102, I have ALSO had that problem. Infact, it must have been just 1 or 2 days ago. Just when you think everything is perfect with AIM… But I must say, AIM is generally a smooth, good program!
Do you guys agree?you would think when they fix a bug they would know to fix another bug that is basically exactly similar!
Seriously, how can they get something as simple as %s and %n mixed up. They try to fix something and only make it worse. I guess we can live with it because its not too noticable.
AIM is a good program but remember 5.2.3186 or whatever the one before the problem with the %s, and then the %n. What was wrong with that one? lol.
Anyway…hope they fix it soon because to me it can get confusing see that auto response from the other person when it was yours.
I saw this %n/%s error coming.
%n displays YOUR screen name, not the other users’ screen name… What was AOL thinking???
OK, I know software is hard to design, and rarely is free of bugs but…. C’mon AOL! This is ridiculous, These “updates” from the first AIM 5.2 have only made things worse, and it doesn’t look like they actually ever fixed ANYTHING!I still have font bugs, and this away messages, and I bet theres more!
THIS is why I utterly despise AOHELL.

Yep..I mean, like what’s next a webcam and then they foul that up…they should add that but MSN is good for that and even yahoo.
And both of those don’t have 5 different versions in the past month! Theres may take longer but there are no “big” bugs
my away message doesn’t do that i have aim+ and i IMed myself on a different sn and it didn’t give my IMing sn…. and i have .3292
That is very true, I did just notice that. But it has the “bug” on the one that doesn’t have AIM + on it.
i noticed that too but it didnt really draw much attention allthough the first couple of times it was confusing. i think they should stop coming out with update until they can fix the stupid mistakes they made in there program. there are to many update coming out.:rolleyes:
mine just started working correct all of the sudden!maybe if you go back and download it again.i think they fixed this glitch
