MemberAOL has began bundling its AOL Browser with AIM (and there is no box you can uncheck to keep it from installing). Thats stepping over the line. They truly are going down the drain.
The only other noticeable change is that they now have an option in the Away Message window to let you IM people while your away.

MemberWow, i downloaded and their adding even more and more JUNK, you think the get the point after a lot of people stop downloading AIM and get Trillian.
I’m think of switching to Trillian now.

MemberI got around to it and finally made the transition to Trillian. No more stupid AIM versions. Whoohoo!

Install both to separate directories, and then you’ll need to modify both aim.exe files’ “CreateMutexA” in a hex editor. Search for hex values “43 72 65 61 74 65 4d 75 74 65 78 41” and change it to “43 72 65 61 74 65 4d 75 74 65 78 00” and save the files. Now fire up each exe and you’ll have both versions at the same time.

Memberyou wont have to modify them if you install to a different directory, i’ve done that plenty of times and didnt have to modify it
