I would like to see custom ringtones in googles next release, or at least somewhere in the program files so that you can change it. Another good function would be assigning a button to talk, like in teamspeak or ventrillo.
Open googletalk.exe in Resource hacker and replace the WAVE resources (121 – 126, I think 125 is the one you want) with the file of your choice.

You can change your Google Talk sounds with the sound replacer on http://www.customizetalk.com It’s not the same as a function built into Google Talk but it will do the trick.
