“Please reply with the number one to sign off your screename at all other locations”
Also check out this page. It explains how the new stuff works now: http://www.aim.com/password/routing.adp
November 21, 2004 at 6:19 pm #105547DyingInAPromiseMemberIt’s been like that for a long time with me, Except it was written differently and you had to type somthing to it when it pops up, and then it would say somthing like Type 1 to sign off other locations.

November 22, 2004 at 2:53 am #105549GrantgMemberi don’t get what your asking there… like is it makeing you sing off in the other place?… I don’t getwhat your asking
November 22, 2004 at 2:56 am #105542Someguy03MemberI’m not asking, I’m telling. This is just a topic to inform people that AIM now gives you the option to kick off all the multiple logons of your screename except for one.
November 22, 2004 at 1:45 pm #105548LLXerxesMemberif your saying using 2 screennames at the same time just do linked screennames
November 25, 2004 at 3:35 pm #105546_Max_Memberno…its like your screennames signed on on 2 computers, for example: your at your friends house and you go online there, talk, then put up an away message. then you go home and forget all about that you were signed online, so you sign on at home and that thing pops up, so you press one and it cuts off the connection at your friends house.
November 25, 2004 at 9:15 pm #105544NickSing3MemberMax is exactly right. Sometimes, when I am feeling stupid, I go upstairs and use the computer, but I forget to turn off AIM downstairs. It just means that you have AIM signed on at two different computers…but you already knew that. Call your friends, check your other computers if you have them. You can also call AOL if it is signed on and it is at a place that you don’t know.
November 26, 2004 at 12:52 am #105550FallenAnjelMemberHowever, it doesn’t work on a LAN. We have 2 comptuers and a laptop. The laptop and 1 computer is on a LAN. I can sign on both locations and it won’t tell me I’m signed on in 2 locations. If I sign on my computer and I’m also on the laptop it WILL tell me.
It’s an ok thing, but bad if you want to sign on someone else’s name w/o them knowing. Mwahahahaha. 😉

It was like this for a while…with everyone (at least all of my SNs)…it just never told you.
November 26, 2004 at 2:07 am #105545ys8er2323MemberOr… you could have searched and found this thread which was made before.
