I thought this could be a place where the moderators can post material that they think should be covered in future BBB podcasts. I think it will be much easier to manage the information here than to force people to go through all of the previous BBB podcast topics to find out what topics have been used, haven’t been used, and what has been marked as unusable.
I’ll start it off:
- IM gadgets – Ogo, Sidekick, IMfree
- Google Talk will soon work with AIM – One of the results of Google buying $1billion stake in AOL
- MSN Messenger Beta – Why its good/bad
- AIM Triton– Why its good/bad and where you can download AIM 5.9 if you don’t like triton (its hidden on their website)
- T-Mobile’s unlimited texting for $10 a month – Some cell phone IMers are going to LOVE that deal
- Shine light on Jay Lodens AIMFix – People seem hopeless lately
- Gmails new Google Talk integration – You can view your contacts/their away messages/IM them/etc
- Discuss new version releases – For the big messengers (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, Gaim, Trillian)
- Gaim is being seriously revamped lately – Interview?

For $4.99 per month*, you get 400 messages of any type.
For $9.99 per month*, you get 1,000 messages of any type.
For $14.99 per month*, you get unlimited messages. If the 10 dollars thing is true that’d be nice to mention in the podcast especially since T-mobile has quite a rip off system when it comes to text messages. You get charged:
1) If you receive a message it counts. (Even if you choose not to read it) (Other companies give you the option and won’t charge if you don’t open it)
2) If you send a message it counts.
3) If your outgoing message never makes it through the system (i.e. lost in space).
4) If your incoming message never makes it to you (i.e. lost in space). The bad thing about this being of course:
1) Charging you for messages you receive EVEN IF YOU DON’T WANT to receive the message.
2) They send you a message every time you get a voicemail. (This doesn’t happen as oftenly as it used to especially if you have newer phones because now they just add a little envelope with waves saying you have voice mail). All this then you are charged of course extra for each message you go over the assigned amount you have. (10 cents for me even though i have a text messaging plan)
So that brings me to asking again, where was i when this happened or is it only available in some areas? (I’m from Texas, btw)

I don’t get charged or incoming texts just ones I send out. And if I spend £10 in a month I get £10 back, which makes my hubby very happy as I generally do! This has meant I have not had to top up since last September! :woot:

I would like to do staff interviews as well, I would love to hear one from David totally in awe of the guy so knowledgeable about computers etc. That would be awesome :0) And no he has not paid me for saying this!!
