Well this month is just not my month with computers… Two weeks ago my net had messed up and was off-line for a week then got it fixed. Well now yesterday when i got home, i went home to notice that my harddrive was no longer working. It wouldn’t turn on or anything. Apparently the electricity had been shut off on my block, but they turned it on and off 3 times back to back (and lasted off for 2 hours), which is what probably fried my harddrive. So i took it in to get repaired or replaced, which sucks because i lose a lot of things and have to reinstall a lot more things when i get it back.
So i’m not going to be on-line most of the time. I’ll come check BBB any chance i get but it won’t be as much as before. So keep an eye on the Yahoo! Section for me. (Especially Dermot! 😛 And if you run into any problems you can ask any of the other team leaders, who would gladly help!)
But now let me just roam around reading some posts while i’m in computer class…

November 27, 2006 at 3:03 pm #154487NessaParticipantWell i got a call on Wednesday from the repair place that it was fixed but that it would arrive till Saturday at the store due to the Thanksgiving Holidays. Well it’s Monday now and still nothing, but hopefully i should be getting it any day now…
November 29, 2006 at 8:49 pm #154488NessaParticipantI finally got my computer back today, so i’m happy!
So now i should be more active. It’s good to be back. 🙂
November 30, 2006 at 5:56 pm #154477Jeff HesterKeymasterYay! I know how it is when you’re computer is down — no fun!
Welcome back to the world of the wired.

Well in case you haven’t noticed, i’m semi-gone again since i’m having computer troubles once again. 🙁
But hopefully i should be back on-line at home by tuesday or wednesday (if not by today in the night).
So you get to throw more parties without me for now! 😛
December 11, 2006 at 10:04 pm #154484MrEggsaladParticipantWow, more troubles. That sucks 🙁 Hope everything gets better soon for you!

Problem was someone had planted a tree in a very bad spot near all the wires so when it was too windy the branches would hit the wires and move them, hence why i had net troubles. Well hopefully this time it’ll stay put. 🙂
January 18, 2007 at 3:11 pm #154492NessaParticipantWell you may have noticed my extreme lack of absence this past week or so and it’s due to my lack of internet once again. When scheduled to be repaired permanently this time, the weather here has been so bad. Here in San Antonio we are not readily equipped for freezing weather with rain, so the city basically shuts down completely. So today is my first day back at school since last Thursday! (including the Monday off for Martin Luther King Day) So now that the rain has stopped a bit and we are not below the freezing point, things are turning up again, so my net is scheduled to be repaired on Friday (*crosses fingers for good weather*) Though it is sad to see that we are so used to hot weather that when it gets slightly freezing, that’s it for us…..
I’m also probably soon having a change of net service though (due to someone moving into my home!), but that’s another story which i’ll type once my net is back up because i’m in school right now and suppose to be doing work, so i’m going to do that now!
Hope all is well here around forum and that i’ll catch up on things soon.
January 18, 2007 at 5:17 pm #154478Jeff HesterKeymasterThanks for the update, Vanessa. Stay safe!
I was travelling this week and changed planes in Dallas. I had three flight cancelled (two going out, and one coming back). The ice in that area has really wreaked havoc on air travel, even for people not actually going through one of the affected cities. It’s like a domino effect with flights cancelled and delayed all over the place.
But nothing really compares to the hassle, inconvience and even the dangers that residents in those areas face. So stay safe, Vanessa!
January 18, 2007 at 8:11 pm #154485MrEggsaladParticipantWow, ice and all..hopefully you stay safe! Here I WISH we could get some winter weather..

 Tell me about it… nothin’ but 32° weather, no snow whatsoever. Bo-ring.
Stay safe, Vanessa, and good luck changing ISPs. Sometimes it can be a pain (at least by me it can be).
January 19, 2007 at 2:57 pm #154491NessaParticipantThanks for all the safe wishes! 🙂

Lowest was 28°, but usually stayed at 30°, 31°, and 32°. Mainly i guess the hard part was that it was drizzling and raining lots causing the ice and we are city that is not well equipped for it. I took some great pictures though of the icicles, which i’ll be sure to post first chance i get.
But after experiencing that weather, i think i’ll love to just go back to experiencing my warm, hot days! :woot:
