I’ve been using voice conference for ages. Just got a new machine (Vista) and downloaded version 8.1 which is supposed to work with Vista. Everything works fine except when I go into a voice conference I can’t get headphones to save my life. I’ve set up my call features (and I can call someone in an individual chat with no problems), I’ve clicked the voice button, and tried Actions/Enable voice chat all to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Perhaps its a widespread Yahoo issue right now? I had it one other time on XP but it resolved itself within a day and even then if I did a call to someone and then went into voice conference it worked. Now I can’t find any way to get it to work. I can’t hear or speak other than text and it’s driving me crazy! Any suggestions are welcome.

Yahoo! is supposedly well aware of this issue and are “working” on it
To when it will be rectified is unknown.
Yahoo! are working on a new Version of messenger been built from the ground up.
You can read about it and sign up to its newsletter at link below.

Well I guess I’ll be running 2 laptops until they get it fixed – the new one for everything but Yahoo Voice conference. I do appreciate the quick response though – at least now I won’t struggle with it any longer on the new machine until it’s fixed.
