Hi…your OSI is really very good…i really really like it…but there is a problem (on MSN) that it doesn’t work 🙁 when we block ‘all other users’ (Tools>Options>Privacy)
November 24, 2002 at 1:55 am #99465AnnaParticipantKinda logical isn’t it Faizan?
When you block all other users. Yes guess what… just like you said; the Online Status Indicator will be blocked! *gasp* (unless of course you add them onto your list which is also kinda logical.) It’s not a problem. Its a feature of MSN doing it’s job.So what was the problem again?
November 24, 2002 at 2:07 am #99467FaizanMemberI haven’t read its FAQs yet…i don’t even no how does it work….i just tried it..i put my MSN ID in checked it it showed me ONLINE ICON….then i blocked other users in my Msn and then it showed me OFFLINE ICON…neway what do u add in ur own contact list and y? hmm….i fink that OSI is to check who has blocked me or sommat! but i don’t know! I’ll get back here after reading the FAQs!
November 24, 2002 at 2:14 am #99464TonyMemberThis is not in the FAQ yet, but I will add to the FAQ that if you block all other users, you will also block Online Status Indicator.
December 19, 2002 at 4:50 pm #99470lechtardMemberI have “Allow All Users” unblocked and it still don’t work – I went by the FAQ and out the complete user id in, includng the “hotmail.com”
December 19, 2002 at 7:43 pm #99463TonyMemberlechtard, which host your you using?
December 21, 2002 at 3:59 am #99469lechtardMemberHello tony – I am using http://status.inkiboo.com:8080/ …
December 21, 2002 at 5:59 am #99466magistykMemberI thought that whenever you registered your MSN status indicator, that a bot would add you to its list, and you would have to accept it… That’s what happend to me…
December 21, 2002 at 9:34 am #99462TonyMemberlechtard, status.inkiboo.com is misconfigured for MSN and is also using an older version of OSI. Try using a host using the latest version (currently 4.4) of OSI instead. You’ll find the list of hosts at http://status.webhop.net/
magistyk, the latest versions of OSI doesn’t add you to a bot account’s list. It uses a new technique for retrieving status.
