Recently I find when I “Call” someone I don’t hear the rings, then further, if they don’t answer I also don’t hear the recorded message (vm_greeting.wav – in Messenger/Media/RingTones folder).
However I CAN still record and send A VM as normal, apart from this lack of sound.
To my surprise it still works fine for me on a different Yahoo ID, using the same PC and program (YM 8.0.0.716) – but never on my main ID.
Any suggestions (apart from “reinstall YM” 🙂 ) on how I might remedy this ?
Haha – FORGET IT!
I realised this was due to my having installed “Solicall”, then also setting my Yahoo audio to “solicall” too.
I’ve now changed YM Preferences, Calling & Audio back to my “normal” sound card, and all is well again. 🙂
