A friend of mine doesn’t have any of the talk buttons or voice in Java. I gave him the link for the virtual machine, but he couldn’t even enter to java after he installed it. He uninstalled it, now he can get back into java but still has no access to voice. I know Microsoft was sued over the Java applet for voice, Is there any solutions to this problem? He has XP for an operating system.
There are different links to Virtual Machine, some are just updates, some are for other versions of Windows, some are just links to Sun which wont help the situation.
I recommend using the Virtual Machine download from http://www.delta-knight.com/ms_vm.shtml and clicking the first “here” link to get it. Should download it, and install it following instructions, I recommend restarting after installing even if it doesn’t prompt you to. You don’t need to bother with updating it until you’ve got it all working, all the updates do is plug holes, it wont affect it working.
Ensure that the security settings for Java are not disabled on start, control panel, internet options, security, custom level… “java permissions”.
Sun can be disabled from start, control panel, internet options, advanced tab, find “java(sun)” and make sure there is no longer a tick by “use sun java….”
