I have noticed on a couple of people I talk to on messenger that when they change something on their profile it does not show that they have updated. Is there a way to do this?

Well, I’ve no idea of how that could occur. As far as I’ve ever seen the “last update” date will always reflect whenever the latest change was.
Can you perhaps tell us for sure which field was changed (and are you CERTAIN of the change having been made !?).
Hmmmmmm, just another thought out of leftfield – is it possible your browser is still somehow showing you a previous version of their profile page, and causing any confusion that way ?
Yahoo Messenger only tells you when someone on your buddy list has
updated their Yahoo 360 page. It does not tell you when someone
has updated their actual profile page.I’m agreeing with Eagle_Kiwi. Perhaps your web browser is keeping the old un-updated page in it’s history. Tried F5’ing the page? That works a bunch of times 😉
By any chance are they updating their profile picture only? When someone updates a picture in their profile, the updating date does NOT change. It only changes when you update the actual profile information. So this might be the reason why you never see the date change.
Yahoo!’s update on profiles ain’t the most reliable of things.

On one they did update some fields, on another they changed info in on field, another they took away a picture and some interest info. If that is any help. I tried the f5. I also delete my files, clean up everyday on my computer. Thanks for all of the comments and help. I just noticed it a long time ago and thought that maybe I made a mistake but noticed on a couple others and have been seeing it for a while. Now my other buddies when they update their profile it does show the update. This is all on the regular profile not 360.
dacton – if you don’t have any idea on how to help with this particular problem, it doesn’t help to say so. if you do find a fix, then by all means share, but… several of your first dozen posts are basically “i dont know, sorry.”
if you don’t have anything useful to add… don’t. i don’t mean to sound harsh, but it’s considered borderline spamming to post such unnecessary messages.
